IT Support Technician Location: Leeds Salary: A GBP 35,000 : A GBP 45,000 per annum Our clients are currently looking for an experience IT Support Technician to provide ongoing support to the companys ICT systems and outsourced partners for a client based in Leeds. Reporting into the IT Manager, you will be working within an established organisation with a culture that is supportive, solutions based and professional. The Role The key purpose of this role is to be highly customer focused and to provide internal IT technical support across a broad range of day:to:day tasks and assist with the smooth running of ICT systems to ensure that business wide staff can carry out their duties without undue delay, interruption or inconvenience. * To assist with managing third:party suppliers, including the primary Managed Service Partner (MSP).* To provide a professional and efficient service reflecting the objectives and professionalism of the Company.* To work with the IT Manager and devise an IT strategy to ensure that the Companys systems develop in line with the market and the company can maximise its use of IT within its budgets.* To deputise for the IT Manager in their absence* To manage the companys data communications network (and supplier), minimising downtime at all locations and ensuring that there are efficient mechanisms for electronic communication between offices and for remote users.* To maintain the integrity and security of the companys computer systems through appropriate access controls and procedures.* To ensure appropriate maintenance arrangements are in place with suppliers of all critical hardware and software and liaise with them as and when required.* To manage the companys e:mail system and associated applications : monitoring email gateway for quarantine emails.* Phishing campaigns and staff cyber security training.* To evaluate, source, install and configure (where appropriate in conjunction with third parties) software and hardware to support and develop the Companys operations.* To liaise with suppliers of specialist software applications, ensuring these are compatible with the companys systems and to ensure that patches and upgrades supplied are installed on a timely basis.* To liaise with external service providers when repair or maintenance to company ICT systems is required.* To develop appropriate communications to allow remote users (both employees and clients) to access the companys systems.* To act as technical support contact for issues affecting the efficient operation of the companys ICT systems.* To manage the technical operation of the companys telephone and voicemail systems.* To develop and maintain procedures and associated documentation relating to the operation of the companys systems.* To carry out any other tasks reasonably requested by the IT Manager and other senior staff.* To maintain an up:to:date record of the companys computer hardware and software.* To install new PCs, laptops and other hardware : including new sites, relocations, new starters, leavers etc. Skills and Qualifications * You will have proven experience of administering and support companywide computer systems based on Microsoft products 365 desktop and applications, Microsoft 365 Admin centres (full suite), Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Operating Systems, Exchange, Active Directory, are essential.* Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and experience of working within an outsourced IT Service environment is desirable.* Understanding of how to certify and comply with the international standards for information security : ISO/IEC 27001* Strong communication skills, networking and stakeholder management skills* Must be able to work proactively and on own initiative.* Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage, analyse and interpret complex data* Adaptable and flexible in your approach to carrying out tasks and solving prob
