SEND Teaching Assistant

Description:
Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students across various classes and activities. This unique position requires a driving licence, as you will occasionally be responsible for transporting students or school materials between our main campus and our sports or field trip locations. Key Responsibilities: * Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. * Provide one:on:one or small group support to students, particularly those with additional needs. * Help prepare classroom materials and resources. * Supervise and ensure the safety of students during school hours, including during transport. * Drive the school minibus for trips, extracurricular activities, and other school:related transportation needs. * Support the organisation and supervision of off:site educational trips. * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to foster a positive and productive learning environment. Requirements: * A valid UK driving licence. * Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Basic administrative and IT skills. Desirable: * First Aid certification. * Experience driving a minibus or willingness to undertake training. * Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
