We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Customer Service Advisor , on a 3-week contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £12.24 - £15.43 per hour Responsibilities: To deal with all enquiries in a professional, friendly and welcoming manner whether by telephone, email or post. To provide information, advice and/or redirection to all people who seek support from the local authority, irrespective of any existing care or determination of eligibility. To ensure that information and advice provided is straightforward, relevant, accurate and accessible to all sections of the community. To listen, question and take appropriate information to establish the nature of the enquiry and the degree of urgency, being responsive to the needs and feelings expressed. To signpost customers to the support available within the community. Qualifications: GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language NVQ Level 2 Award in customer Services or Social Care, or able to demonstrate equivalent skills ICS bronze award or able to demonstrate equivalent skills Experience: Experience of information, advice and referral work Experience of direct contact with the public in an appropriate setting Experience in dealing with frequent telephone calls from the public Experience in using computerised record systems Experience of working effectively in a team Experience working in a health and social care environment is desirable Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
