These first time parents from Elephant & Castle, London have recently welcomed their first baby and are looking to be introduced to a local maternity nurse. They are keen to be introduced to an experienced and qualified maternity nurse who will be able to provide support and guidance in all aspects of childcare as the new parents have no support around. They will require a maternity nurse to help for 5 days per week for 4 weeks initially Monday to Friday. Main Duties 1. Responsible for assisting with feeding and offering support and guidance in the early stages of establishing a good feeding routine.2. Settling baby back to sleep after feeds.3. Monitor the baby through the day for any signs of discomfort or illness, changing nappies when required.4. Establishing daytime routines, such as bathing the baby and settling for naps and bedtime..5. Keeping records: Keeping track of feeding and sleeping patterns, as well as any notable changes or concerns, may be required to keep the parents informed6. Provide support and care for the newborn, while allowing the parents to get much-needed rest during the day.Suitable non-medical qualification would be NEST (New-born Education Services Training) Level 3 or above, MNT Level 3 or similar. Further details · Nights: 5 days per week · Wage : around £20-£22 Gross per hour depending on experience · Hours: 8-10 hours per day ideally between 11-9pm· Start date: As soon as possible· Duration: 4 weeks Essential requirements · Fully enhanced DBS (criminal record) check.
