We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Head of Repairs , on a 1-week contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £355.00 - £440.44 per Day Responsibilities: Ensure Repairs team compliance with relevant legislation such as (but not limited to): Health and Safety, equality & diversity, GDPR, employment, safeguarding, risk management and all other key policies and procedures and regulations Provide Director of Repairs and Maintenance with regular reports detailing key performance around all aspects of repairs delivery including analysis of relevant data. Ensure that spending decisions for repairs are made within a robust risk assessment framework. Develop a culture of learning and accountability that harnesses talent and team development, working with the HR and people leads to ensure a one-team culture across repairs service. Support the commitment to workplace safety for staff, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with agreed standards and policies, including our support for vulnerable customers. Experience & knowledge : Proven track record in managing repair services across a large and complex property portfolio. Strong working knowledge of legislation, compliance and regulatory obligations in respect of repair services. A track record in delivering a repairs services setting including substantial experience of managing direct labour teams and subcontractors. Extensive experience of developing robust reporting and data frameworks and using trade software packages to ensure effective repair services. Strong experience of contract management, holding external contractors to account for performance and VFM.. Strong experience of managing health and safety within a repairs environment Experience of programming and managing complex repair works, ensuring efficiency, and being aware of customer preferences. Strong financial and commercial acumen, used to managing budgets. A track record of collaborative working as part of a management team. Relevant professional qualification, and membership of a professional body, or equivalent work experience. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
