IT Support Analyst - Birmingham, UK

Our client is expanding their IT division and hiring a 1st/2nd line IT Support Analyst, based within 1 hour of the West Midlands. They need someone who is eager and diligent join the existing team that supports 600+ technical staff across the Uk and beyond. IT knowledge is desirable, however applicants who have just qualified will also be accepted as we have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.This role will be focused in our Birmingham office with the Associate Director, but regional offices travel is a requirement of the role. It is likely you'd be traveling around the country a few days a month. Candidates will need to have strong communication skills and a wide knowledge of general computing problems. Primary Responsibilities: Engage in active communication with technical personnel. Manage incoming communications such as telephone calls and emails directed to the IT helpdesk. Record and categorize support requests and incidents reported to the IT Helpdesk. Ensure outstanding customer service by addressing support requests promptly and effectively. Assist users with issues related to Windows, Office365, Cloud services, and various business applications. Resolve technical issues through remote support or direct interaction. Essential Knowledge: Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 . Familiarity with Powershell scripting . Experience with Active Directory management. Competence in using Microsoft Teams for collaboration. Desirable Skills: Understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop environments. Knowledge of Nerdio Manager for Enterprise / AVD . Ability to troubleshoot printing and multi-function devices . Experience with Apple iPhone support.
