We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Head of Finance Business Partnering, on a 5 -month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £650.00 - £857.00 per day Responsibilities: To ensure that financial information is relevant and balanced and is received by decision-takers at the appropriate level and in the appropriate form. To proactively identify areas of weak financial management, risks and pressures and to work with the relevant service to improve them To work with directors and senior stakeholders to ensure they have the information and tools and develop the skills to manage their finances themselves. To lead, manage and motivate staff through excellent communication, professional guidance, support and development in accordance with the councils policies and procedures. To be customer-focussed and to develop self-service underpinned by reducing finance support. To collaborate with stakeholders to proactively identify areas where finance can add value, including in particular better use of financial data analytics. Qualification: Full member of CCAB or equivalent accountancy body Post qualification experience Participation in formal Continuing Professional Development(CPD) Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
