About you As Mechanical Engineer your responsibilities will include: * Optimizing Efficiency: Ensure assets operate at optimum efficiency to maximize output and consistently meet targets. * Improvement Strategy: Support the delivery of the mill’s improvement strategy. * Capability Building: Build capability in One KC Manufacturing practices. * Emergency Support: Be flexible for emergency callouts. * Cost-Saving Improvements: Optimize and sustain tissue manufacturing assets, minimize machine downtime, and implement cost-saving improvements. * Engineering Systems: Implement new engineering systems and solutions. * Maintenance Strategies: Optimize maintenance strategies. * Legacy of Best Practice: Train and mentor others, creating a legacy of best practice. What you’ll bring... The successful candidate will have; * Experience delivering legislative and corporate safety and engineering standards. Supervising technical support teams and contractors and leading risk reduction efforts. * Experience managing capital projects from feasibility study to final closeout. Ensuring safety, cost, time, and specification KPIs are met. * Experience leading root cause failure analysis and problem-solving efforts. * Experience improving adherence to Mechanical mill processes and standards. * In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems (e.g., Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes, Transmission Systems, Steam Generation, and Lifting equipment). * Experience managing work prioritisation based on asset criticality assessments. * HNC level or documented experience in comparable role * Good knowledge in Statistics and Data Analysis Total Benefits We offer competitive pay and benefits to employees and reward excellence and performance.
