Senior Net Zero Sustainability Consultant Are you passionate about achieving Net Zero and committed to addressing the Climate and Biodiversity Emergency? Join a dynamic Sustainability & Physics team as a Senior Net Zero Sustainability Consultant. About the Role As a Net Zero Carbon specialist, you will work on a diverse range of projects, providing bespoke net zero carbon advice and developing decarbonisation strategies for high-profile clients in the UK, Europe, and worldwide. You will play a key role in creating ambitious decarbonisation pathways, supported by realistic and deliverable implementation plans, and combining strategic vision with technical delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement net zero carbon strategies. Provide bespoke advice on decarbonisation for high-profile clients. Create ambitious and realistic decarbonisation pathways. Collaborate with a leading-edge team focused on sustainable and innovative solutions. Projects You May Work On High-profile buildings and masterplans across various sectors. Internationally recognised sustainability initiatives. Cutting-edge projects that combine technical and strategic net zero carbon solutions. Your Skills & Experience As an experienced Senior Net Zero Sustainability Consultant, you will be able to demonstrate: Education : BEng, MEng, or MSc in Building Services, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field. Knowledge : Working knowledge of industry net zero carbon frameworks, guidance, and approaches such as UKGBC, LETI, SBTi, and CRREM. Technical Skills : Data validation and analysis skills with high proficiency in Excel. Experience in building services engineering design, particularly HVAC systems, including understanding plant schematics and controls, as well as preliminary equipment selection and technical feasibility assessments for decarbonisation measures. Communication : Ability to communicate complex information and technical analysis clearly and concisely, adapting outputs to suit various audiences, including estates teams and board-level executives. Professional Status : Chartered professional or working towards chartered status with a relevant institution. Flexibility : Effective and flexible communication skills. Additional Beneficial Experience Carbon Accounting : Knowledge of GHG Protocol principles, science-based targets, and developing carbon models and inventories. Energy Audits : Experience in conducting energy audits for existing buildings to identify opportunities for improving energy and operational carbon performance. Performance Modelling : Developing energy performance calculations and modelling for demand reduction measures and technology changes for buildings and sites. Project Management : Track record of managing and delivering building performance and/or net zero carbon projects in the industry. Visualisation : Ability to present key findings and communicate ideas visually through infographics and charts. If you have a broad understanding of energy performance and building services systems across a range of building sectors, underpinned by a genuine interest in Net Zero Carbon, we want to hear from you.
