We are seeking a reliable and motivated Engineers Mate to join our client's team in North Leicestershire. In this role, you will assist experienced engineers with installing, maintaining, and repairing electric gates and access control. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop skills in a specialised field, with potential for career advancement.Other suitable job titles could include: Engineers Assistant, Installers Mate, Fitters Mate, Electricians Mate or similar. Suitable locations could include North Leicester such as Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Sileby, East Leake, Syston, Quorn, Barrow upon Soar or surrounding areas. The Role: Engineers Mate - Assist senior engineers with the installation and repair of electric gates and access control systems - Working on a range of domestic and commercial customer sites throughout the East Midlands - Prepare and organise tools and materials for each job - Follow health and safety guidelines at all times - Maintain a clean and organised work area - Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision - Provide excellent customer service on-site - Complete job sheets whilst servicing - Assisting with heavy lifting Key Skills / Experience Required - Engineers Mate - Previous experience working as a labourer, engineer mate, fitter mate or similar on mechanical or electrical equipment/machinery - Previous experience using hand tools, power tools or similar - Basic understanding of electrical systems preferred but not essential - Strong work ethic and willingness to learn - Happy to work outside in all weather conditions - Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team - Holds a full UK clean driving licence The Package - Engineers Mate: - Starting salary £24,000-£27,000 per annum - Starting salary dependent on experience - 29 days holiday including bank holidays - Working hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm - Overtime available - The chance to work with a close-knit, dedicated team - Company Pension Scheme - Long Term development into a skilled Gate Engineer Interested To apply for this Engineers Mate position, here are your two options: 1.
