Design Engineer : Stafford : Up to A GBP 30/hr : Inside IR35 Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Design Engineer to join one of the worlds leading manufacturers of off:highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines. As a Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of new product concepts and complex engineering projects. You will design and develop engine components and systems to release to production promptly to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, optimised cost and serviceability. The role mainly will be focussed on cost down opportunities, looking at design of the engines and coming up with cost effective, innovative ways to reduce costs. In your first few weeks in this engineering role, you can expect to: * Research new materials and competitive products* Organise, coordinate, and execute the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes* Assist supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance* Lead and support DFMEA and DVP and R creation* Provide effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence for this Design Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include: * 3D modelling experience* 2D drawing experience* Knowledge of Creo / AutoCAD* Team Centre experience would be a plus but not essentialExperience in Diesel / spark ignited engine designProduct Development experience If youre looking to make a positive impact and create change, youll be rewarded with an excellent contract per:hour rate for your inclusive and committed approach.
