T People are recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer.Location: BirminghamEmployment Type: Permanent PositionSalary: £48,000paJob Summary:T People are seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Engineer to carry out annual gas safety checks and issue Gas Safety Certificates for social housing / residential properties.The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Annual Gas Safety Inspections:Perform comprehensive inspections of gas appliances, installations, and pipelines to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Test and check the functionality of gas appliances, such as boilers, cookers, and heaters.Issue Gas Safety Certificates:Accurately complete and issue Gas Safety Certificates for compliant installations and appliances.Record and report any safety defects or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for rectification.Maintenance and Repairs:Carry out necessary maintenance and repair work on gas installations and appliances as required.Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.Customer Service:Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results, necessary repairs, and safety advice.Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.Compliance and Documentation:Keep up-to-date with current gas safety regulations and best practices.Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance work, and issued certificates.Health and Safety:Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, clients, and colleagues.Identify and mitigate any potential hazards encountered during inspections and repairs.Qualifications and Experience:Current Gas Safe registration mandatory.Relevant qualifications in gas engineering e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance or equivalent.Experience:Proven experience in conducting gas safety inspections and issuing Gas Safety Certificates.Experience in maintenance and repair of gas appliances.Skills:Strong technical knowledge of gas appliances, systems, and safety standards.Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and customer service skills.Other Requirements:Valid driver’s licenceAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.To register for this position / express an interest in this position please complete our online registration form – click here: https://tudoremployment.victoriaforms.com/p/TPeopleAlternatively, for further information please call Joe on 01922 XXXXXX or email XXXX@tpeople.co.uk.T People is a division of Tudor Employment Agency Ltd
