We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to join the In Silico Medicinal Chemistry team within the Division of Cancer Therapeutics to support and accelerate drug discovery projects by applying innovative computational chemistry methods. Our team members work in close collaboration with in-house experts in chemistry, biology, biological assays, structural chemistry, structural biology, DMPK and bioinformatics on projects at all stages of drug discovery, from early target validation and chemical hit finding, to lead optimisation and candidate selection. Requirements PhD in computational chemistry, or a related field. Wide-ranging knowledge and experience in the use of computational chemistry methods to design and optimise bioactive molecules. This may include molecular docking, pharmacophore modelling, virtual screening, molecular dynamics, free energy calculations, QM methods. Experience using state-of-the-art molecular modelling software packages (e.g., Schrödinger, MOE, OpenEye). Familiarity with scientific programming (e.g., Python, UNIX) and/or data analytics platforms (KNIME) Proactive approach with excellent time management skills and ability to work on different projects simultaneously. Strong written and oral communication skills. Highly motivated and strong desire to achieve scientific excellence. Ability to collaborate with others.
