The Role The Financial Compliance Manager will oversee and proactively manage or coordinate all aspects of Global financial compliance, ensuring regulations are adhered to and all filings are accurate and completed timely. They will be a technical expert in financial accounting and reporting, VAT, and other taxation, and have demonstratable international experience in these areas. Audit and internal controls will be a key part of this role, including leading the Group annual audit, and managing the maintenance and continuous improvement of financial procedures and policies to ensure robust and effective controls are in place. They will be a trusted technical advisor to the Global finance team and wider business, providing guidance as needed and supporting in any key initiatives or projects from a technical angle. Key Responsibilities * Manage all aspects of financial compliance for multiple CIPS Global entities and maintain the Global compliance checklist to ensure all regulatory filings are completed to time.* Ensure VAT/Sales tax compliance for CIPS entities within area of responsibility, including preparation of VAT returns for the UK entity (including partial exemption calculations) and provision of technical advice to the finance and business teams with regards to global transactions.* Work with external tax advisors and coordinate Corporation tax filings and ensure full compliance for CIPS entities. Provide guidance to the wider business as required regarding tax implications and withholding taxes and manage foreign tax clearance applications.* Proactively monitor changes in legislation or changes in CIPS business activities to ensure remain VAT and Tax compliant.* Prepare the annual Financial Statements for CIPS entities with area of responsibility.* Act as the lead on CIPS Group financial audit, liaising with external auditors and coordinating all internal activities to ensure the audit process is efficient and on time and meets the requirements of the CIPS external auditors.* Coordinate or support as required on CIPS subsidiary entity audits to ensure local and Group reporting requirements are met.* Maintain a robust programme of ongoing monitoring and maintenance of CIPS internal controls documentation, working with colleagues to ensure all controls are effectively in place. Skills and Qualifications * Accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)* Experience working in a practice environment or similar* Strong technical knowledge and demonstrable experience in Global tax, VAT, financial accounting, and statutory reporting* Internal controls and compliance experience, with audit experience (Either as auditor or business lead)* A clear and effective verbal communicator, able to present to small groups and comfortable with explaining technical information in a simple understandable manner* Ability to prioritise, strong time:management skills, effective planning, and coordination skills* Confidence in working with colleagues at an executive and board level Benefits * Life Assurance* Healthcare* Pension* Bonus Scheme If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would lik
