Motor Vehicle Technician Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: A GBP 33,945 : A GBP 37,336 per annum Will you be the successful full:time candidate to join the team, primarily in the Light Goods vehicle workshop at Newington Rd? The Council (City Transport) are seeking an experienced time served motor vehicle technician to take up a permanent position. The Role City Transport maintains and repairs a diverse range of vehicles, plant, and horticultural equipment as well as having two MOT stations, testing class 4,5 and 7 vehicles and Licenced Taxis and hackney carriages. Skills and Qualifications The Council are looking for someone with the skills and experience to achieve the effective and efficient maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of the councils Light Goods Vehicle fleet. You will have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle engineering to NVQ level 3 or equivalent and hold a valid MOT tester qualification. A category B driving licence is essential with categories D1 and C LGV licence being advantageous.
