This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Band 6/7 Urology / Continence Care Nurse Specialist who will be passionate in supporting a recognised care pathway of urology patients within the Acute Urology Service and Community Catheter Service. Location:Maidstone, with travel to Essex, Folkestone and Hastings Contract:Permanent, working Monday to Friday Responsibilities: The Nurse Specialist will develop and deliver Urology TWOC and ISC Procedures to patients in Community Clinics and support Acute Care Pathways :Provide safe, effective and specialist nursing care, information and advice to patients and their relatives on all aspects of catheter care (including self:catheterisation):Undertake TWOC and ISC clinicswithin a Community Catheter Service:Manage community referrals from the Acute Trust to triage the patient for ISC and TWOC procedures in the community clinic:Assess, treat and review adults with continence / urology needs and/or bladder and catheter complications and advise accordingly:Teach and support other nursing and non:nursing staff and carers as required:Foster good communication links and co:operation between GPs, Community Nurses, Ward Managers, and other disciplines / departments:Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into appropriate patient record keeping systems that meet the requirements of data protection and ensure that company liability is within current regulation:Support the introduction of new products and provide opportunities for end users to review:Participate in discussion and the operation of research programmes affecting patients and the service:Work with Company Nurse Manager to set annual clinical objectives and track regularly to ensure timely completion Person Specification: :Qualified Nurse RGN (essential):Recognized Urology / Continence Care Qualification (desirable):Car driver essential (home visits will be required):Proven experience with an interest within urology / continence care:Knowledge / ability to demonstrate a research:based holistic approach to client care:Understanding of financial control / managing a service within budget:Evidence of recent post registration training and development (desirable):Community experience (desirable) About Us: Hollister is an independent, employee:owned company that develops, manufactures, and markets healthcare products and services worldwide.
