The Role: As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging Music lessons, promoting student enjoyment and achievement. They will also consider ECTs. Responsibilities: Monitor student progress and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Music curriculum. Contribute to academy policies and enrichment activities, fostering partnerships with stakeholders. Stay updated on subject developments. Foster partnerships with parents and community groups. Ensure safe and stimulating learning environments. Fulfil other duties as assigned by senior leadership. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Music Teacher or in a similar role. Hold a Qualified Teacher Status or working towards it. Relevant degree and specialist qualifications in Music. Thorough understanding of curriculum requirements and equal opportunities principles. Excellent classroom practitioner with commitment to professional development. Ability to teach up to KS3, ideally KS4. Familiarity with the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs. Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and student welfare promotion. Skilled in various assessment for learning strategies.
