Senior Specialist Physiotherapist Location: Leeds Salary: A GBP 43,742 : A GBP 50,056 FTE DOE (The salary for this role will be reviewed once the NHS releases their 2024/25 Agenda for Change (AfC)) Hours: 21 Hours per week Why join us? Main Purpose: You will work as a specialist within a multi/interdisciplinary team, providing physiotherapy within the neuro behavioural model to individuals with acquired brain injury. You will operate across three key pathways: Neuro behavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well:being. Your role includes supporting the development of specialist physiotherapy services and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Clinical / Professional Practice: * Operate as an autonomous professional within a specialist clinical area, with supervision available for complex cases.* Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans.* Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and team discussions.* Ensure treatment plans align with best evidence and practice guidelines.* Provide specialist advice and use complex clinical problem:solving skills.* Engage in a specialist area of interest within the physiotherapy team.* Proactively participate in multi/interdisciplinary team activities within the neurobehavioral/neuropsychological model.* Deliver physiotherapeutic interventions across the Neuro behavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well:being pathways.* Safely manage challenging behaviours and mental health disorders.* Set team goals according to our goal:setting guidelines.* Use and manage physiotherapeutic equipment and interventions safely.* Capture treatment outcomes using our standardised measures and ensure timely data entry. About You: * Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.* HCPC registration.* Practice Placement qualification or willingness to obtain it within the first year.* Ability to conduct complex neuro physiotherapy assessments and develop specialist treatment plans.* Understanding of clinical governance principles.* Ability to reflect on and appraise personal performance.* Evidence of continuing professional development.* Experience in rehabilitation with individuals with neurological deficits, including acquired brain injury or related fields (e.g., learning disabilities, MSK, mental health).
