We are looking for an interim HR Manager to cover a period of maternity leave with a fixed term contract lasting 12 months. About the role Working with the Signal leadership team to deliver an excellent people service. This is a hands-on generalist role which spans all areas of HR covering both project-based work and business as usual tasks. You will build strong relationships across the business to support Signal’s people development agenda and maintain employee relations as well as sourcing, assessing, and managing relationships with external contacts. Key Responsibilities Advising on and implementing people policies and procedures that will enable business development Providing guidance and support to line managers on people management issues including any performance management and employment matters Ensuring we are compliant with current employment legislation, ISO standards and GDPR and keeping relevant documents up to date e.g Employee Handbook plus cross functional working across internal teams to ensure records stay up to date and accurate where applicable. Manage relationships with external specialist advisers. Chairing the Signal People Forum and following up on relevant actions and feedback Proactively ensuring we have the correct resource across the business and supporting on longer term recruitment plans/ filling skills gaps. Supporting onboarding for new team members People Development projects and initiatives across the business Supporting on the recruitment and selection of all employees including filtering CV’s and responding to applicants to offer/rejection, scheduling interviews and employment screening including references and identity checks. Day to day management of health and safety as required. Mentoring the Finance & HR Assistant Ad-hoc HR projects Ad-hoc employee advice Identifying opportunities to propose new ways of working.
