We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our client's team based in Stockport SK3 and SK4 postcodes.As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients. You will also support the nursing team, including healthcare assistants, and oversee infection control standards and cold chain compliance.Contract options available to select from: Locum Temp to perm Straight perm introductionAbout the client:- They are a large, friendly teaching GP practice with over 14,000 patients and a team of enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary staff.Main Duties: - Proficient in chronic disease management Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, CHD/CVD, vaccinations, immunisations, cervical screening, contraceptive reviews, wound care including compression, and other general treatment room duties. - Provide support to the nursing team, including healthcare assistants. - Oversee infection control standards and cold chain compliance.Key Responsibilities: - Participate in annual appraisals and clinical/practice meetings. - Administer adult and child immunisations, ensuring full achievement of targets. - Perform venepuncture, electrocardiography, and wound care/management. - Manage leg ulcers, including dopplers and compression bandaging. - Provide lifestyle advice and support to patients. - Recognise signs of abuse, violence, and other vulnerabilities, and refer appropriately. - Ensure current evidence-based approaches to patient care are standard practice. - Apply infection control measures and handle emergencies effectively. - Audit outcomes of care and initiate necessary changes.Qualifications Essential: - Nursing degree or relevant nursing qualification granting a professional license to practice primary care nursing. - Qualified in chronic disease management for Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and CHD/CVD. - Cervical screening qualification. - Proficient in venepuncture and electrocardiography. - Wound dressing and leg compressions.Qualifications Desirable: - Experience working in a GP practice. - Experience with Emis Web. - Independent prescribing qualification. - Stable career history showing clear commitment and progression.Experience Essential: - Highly experienced Practice Nurse with a positive attitude. - Ability to multitask with strong planning and organisational skills. - Excellent communication and telephone skills. - Experienced in chronic disease management, cervical screening, vaccinations, injections, immunisations, and wound care management. - Experienced in overseeing infection control systems and maintaining cold chain compliance.Benefits of Service Care Solutions: - Four weekly payroll runs - £250 training allowance - Excellent pay rates - Exceptional referral bonuses - Specialist mental health consultants offering a single point of contact - Frequent notifications for upcoming opportunities via text and email - Ltd & PAYE payment options available - Nationwide provider of mental health staff to over 40 different NHS trusts and over 200 local authorities - FREE DBS disclosures provided via fast-track online services - FREE Occupational Health Check and ImmunisationsAre you happy with your current agency - £150 Agency Switch Bonus - £250 Welcome Bonus - Up to £350 Referral BonusApplication: To learn more, reach out to me at 01772 208 961 or submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience to XXXX@servicecare.org.uk
