Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work up to 37 hours per week, on an initial 3 month contract, with a view to being extended.Job DescriptionService Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Special Educational Needs Manager with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council .Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work up to 37 hours per week, on an initial 3 month contract, with a view to being extended.Key responsibilities To be responsible for the effective administration of the assessment and reassessment of pupils’ special educational needs, including their placement, monitoring and reviewTo manage the delivery of an efficient, effective and timely Special Educational Needs and Disabilities service for pupils in mainstream schools to ensure pupils achieve to the best of their ability.To oversee service development and strategies to enable the Council to meet statutory requirements including implementing the requirements of new legislationLead and manage the work of SEN Casework Officers by making sure that everyone is working in the same way to the same goals, to meet statutory requirements and relevant timescales.To champion and promote the welfare of children and young people, and ensure that priority is given to safeguarding.
