Solution Architect In this role, you will: Define and maintain the Solution Architecture in cooperation with business, Change Delivery and IT stakeholders including other IT architects 1. Follow Decision Driven Design – Architecture governance process 2. Creation and maintaining the architecture artefacts 3. Work closely with the data and infrastructure SMEs to ensure compliance with the defined standards and guidance 4. Work closely with security teams to ensure the solutions proposed are in line with security considerations 5. Provide solution architecture guidance to development teams creating, enhancing and implementing software solutions 6. Maintain awareness of HSBC Group-wide and Finance architecture and technology initiatives to ensure alignment with the enterprise direction and to deliver anticipated business value 7. Comply to guidance provided on the usage of various architecture and data management tools 8. Ensure defined architectures comply with operational risk controls in accordance with Client or regulatory standards and policies 9. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client brand Essential Skills - To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: 1. Have experience of designing and delivering end to end architecture for large scale applications 2. Exposure to infrastructure architecture would be an added advantage 3. Have experience of understanding complex business processes 4. Have experience with Finance systems 5. Have exposure to ETL and data processing technologies and concepts 6. Have exposure to Google Cloud Platform 7. Awareness of Azure would be an added advantage 8. Have created novel solutions 9. Be able to communicate ideas clearly to a wide audience 10. Have a passion for technology – this represents a great opportunity to broaden experience and gain new skills, it really helps if the candidate has a genuine interest for the technology 11. Be able to gather, create and develop requirements and see these through to architectural decisions 12. Possess strong consulting techniques, communication and negotiation skills 13. Be capable of formulating ideas and designs and run prototyping exercises to undertake technical solution assessments and provide proof of success 14. Effectively work with diverse and widely distributed teams
