4Recruitment Services are seeking a Personal Advisor – Leaving Care Team in Peterborough. The client will allow hybrid working.Purpose of the role:To build positive and productive relationships with care-experienced young people to support them through their transition to adulthood and greater independence.To support young people to navigate complex individual situations, through assessment, planning, intervention, and the co-ordination of services in accordance with national Children and Care Leavers legislation, regulations, guidance and local policies and procedures.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:To work collaboratively with a range of partner organisations to assess, plan and support care leavers and their families.To manage a caseload of individual young people in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant legislation, guidance and regulations.To attend and contribute to reviews and participate in meetings, wherever a young person is livingTo assess need and deliver support and programmes of intervention to a diverse group of young people leaving care in line with Departmental standardsTo assess financial needs of care leavers and assist them in planning their individual budgets for accommodation and maintenance.To undertake visits, complete assessments and reviews, maintain records in accordance with policy and proceduresTo be responsible for planning and recording Pathway Planning meeting where required.To visit young people at home and other external venues in accordance with standards, policy and proceduresESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:Experience working with vulnerable young people aged 16 – 25Relevant qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent.Knowledge and understanding of human growth and development and the particular issues relating to young people living in careRelevant legislation, guidance including Children Act 1989,2004, Children Leaving Care Act 2000 Regulations and Guidance.Ability to manage and develop effective strategies when working with young people presenting challenging behaviour.Strong interpersonal skills with a range of people including young people and their families, service providers, colleagues and managersEnhanced DBSWhat we offer:24 hour one on one specialist consultant based within your geographical area4Recruitment Services Employee Benefits ProgrammeOur own dedicated payroll support ensuring you get the full benefits of your paymentRecruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.To discuss this vacancy in further detail or any other vacancies , please contact our Team on 0800 988 6307 or email XXXX@4recruitmentservices.com.
