Since their establishment over 160 years ago, they have become a household name within a number of high-profile industries including Oil & Gas and Power Generation, and now employ over 15,000 people across 180 facilities world-wide.Their UK flagship facility is based in LEEDS, just a few miles from the M1 & M62 motorways, meaning that the successful CNC Machinist can easily commute from Wakefield, Bradford, Selby, Castleford, Pontefract, Huddersfield, Wetherby and Harrogate.Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist will include: Setting up and operating a Doosan Horizontal Boring machine to accurately produce large & heavy components for internal projects & ordersAccurately setting up the machine and making basic edits & adjustments to programs using Fanuc controlsIn-process inspection using a variety of measuring instruments, ensuring that all castings and components conform with specification Working Hours of the CNC Machinist: Day and Night shifts available: Days: Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 15:30 / Friday – 07:30 to 12:30Nights: Monday to Thursday – 21:15 to 07:15 In return, the CNC Machinist will receive: Pay Rates: PAYE: DAYS: £20.00 or UMBRELLA PAYE: £26.46 / NIGHTS: PAYE: £26.19 / UMBRELLA PAYE: £34.65Completion Payment: £1,000.00 for every successful 3 month period workedOvertime: Frequently available paid at time & a half and double time Sundays onlyTravel Allowance: £120 Weekly payment for individuals based over 50 miles from the Leeds facilityAssignment Duration: 6 Months – likely to be extended and potentially offered as permanent employment but not guaranteed To apply for the contract CNC Machinist position, please click “Apply Now” and attach a copy of your CV.
