Job Opportunity: Workshop ManagerLocation: BlackburnType: PermanentSalary: GBP 34,000 : GBP 36,000 We are working with a fantastic client in the Blackburn area assisting them with their search for a Workshop Manager to support them with their continued business growth. We are looking to speak with experienced workshop managers who have exceptional people management skills and a sound knowledge of mechanics. Role Responsibilities: - Work with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless service for customers. - Schedule work to meet customer needs and also the needs of internal jobs for the business. - Provide estimates for servicing and repairs with realistic timescales. - Keep an open line of communication with customers updating on progress of work, costings, and anticipated completion dates. - Plan and manage machines in stock through the workshop for repairs / servicing etc and prep for sale.- Plan and manage the maintenance and servicing of company vehicles.- Coordinate the workshop technicians ensuring communication is clear at all times through weekly meetings and monthly one to ones. - Develop and maintain procedures for the workshop to increase effectiveness and efficiency.- Coordinate technicians' availability and holidays. - Work with the Parts Manager to ensure appropriate stock is being held for ongoing jobs and future jobs.- Ensure yard and workshops are kept clear at all times and are operating in line with H and S requirements.- Thoroughly inspect all machines before the leave the workshop ensuring all works are completed to quality and standard.- Ensure the Catalyst is kept up to date with jobs booked to machines. - Make sure all invoicing is up to date and completed in a timely manner. - Assist technicians where required : fixing, servicing, identifying solutions to any challenges. - Aim to increase work from external customers.
