You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers This hospital provides a full care pathway including medium secure and low secure units for males, along with a mixed gender acute wing To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin As the Ward Manager your key responsibilities include: Planning and co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environmentRota managementMaking sure that the physical healthcare needs of patients are assessed and managed effectivelyEnsuring that all patients have clear current care plans that reflect their personalised needsUndertaking direct patient care where necessaryEnsuring the ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standardsEnsuring that all members of the nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: Experience of managing othersWillingness to complete further clinical, managerial and leadership trainingComputer literate - you are responsible for rota managementAs a member of the leadership team your communication skills and motivation to strive for excellence yourself and via others will shine through The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £42,000 - £48,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
