My client are a leading design and manufacturer of diagnostic equipment and technologies used to measure the speed and positioning of vehicles during the test and development stage of new vehicles, and in autonomous driving research.Testing Engineer – Automotive Diagnostic Products – Milton KeynesMy client are a leading design and manufacturer of diagnostic equipment used to measure speed and positioning of vehicles during the test and development stage of new vehicles, and in autonomous driving research.Their products are supplied into and used by almost every automotive company world-wide, including Porsche, Ferrari, Ford, BMW, Tesla and Rivian to name just a few. As Project Test Engineer you will take ownership of testing and sign-off activities of products, by validating functionality, performance, reliability and safety. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, test plans and test tools. Key Responsibilities: Take an active role in all aspects of product testing, from R&D to product releaseDevelop and utilise software, firmware, and hardware testing tools for product testing tasksWrite and execute product testing plans and strategiesIdentify and improve product testing tools and processesCreate and maintain product test sheets and documentation Essential Experience Requirements: Educated to Degree level in Automotive Engineering and have a keen interest in the Automotive domainAt least 1-year commercial experience, ideally in an automotive product test environmentFamiliarity with hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers and multimetersAbility to demonstrate a logical approach to troubleshootingFull, Clean UK Driving LicenceExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams Desired Experience: Exposure and knowledge of GPS and Automotive-based technologiesUnderstanding of testing methodologies, tools and best practicesKnowledge of software programming C / C++ / Python
