Job Description:Our client, a UK leading investment and pensions consultancy, have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre nearly/newly qualified actuary to join their London, Edinburgh, or Glasgow offices. The position presents opportunities to get involved in a diverse range of projects, particularly in the areas of ESG Environmental, Social and Governance, reserving, risk and capital and investment strategy.Job Description:Our client, a UK leading investment and pensions consultancy, have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre nearly/newly qualified actuary to join their London, Edinburgh, or Glasgow offices. The position presents opportunities to get involved in a diverse range of projects, particularly in the areas of ESG Environmental, Social and Governance, reserving, risk and capital and investment strategy. Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience in insurance focused actuarial work, either ‘in-house’ at an insurer or reinsurer, or in consultingSelf-starter, who is able to drive a project forward, sometimes with limited guidance.Experience of planning projects and track record of delivering work on scheduleA strong track record of achievement and deliveryFlexible in approach and comfortable with working in a changing environmentProven ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting demandsStrong personal values, including a commitment to professional and ethical behaviourCollegiate worker with high emotional intelligence, able to quickly establish rapport with new colleaguesEnthusiasm for developing a strong network of contacts in the life insurance industryExperience in core actuarial practices - particularly in relation to one or more of reserving, pricing, capital and risk modelling.
