If so, then we would love to hear from you.We welcome applications from individuals who have experience and qualifications in the children’s residential childcare sector but also those from those who feel they have something to offer our young people.Duties:- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events - Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills- Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to appropriate personnel- Collaborate with a team of professionals to create and implement individualized care plansSkills- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes- Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures
