You will handle billing for Family Legal Aid files, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Responsibilities: - Log and monitor file progress in Fee Unit systems - Recover costs from the Legal Aid Agency LAA and clients - Prepare bills and applications for payments on account - Update Fee Earners on billing progress - Communicate with LAA, courts, law firms, insurance companies, clients, and other agencies - Assist Fee Earners with Legal Aid billing queries Requirements: - Proficient in preparing Family Legal Aid bills and handling technical queries from the LAA and courts - Experience submitting claims via CCMS is essential - Ability to prepare High Cost Case Plans is desirable - Familiarity with Case Management Systems, Laserforms, LAA CCMS portal, and Court Portal - Minimum of 12 months experience in a billing role - Well-organised, flexible, able to work under pressure, numerate, and possess a good telephone manner If this role is of interest please forward your updated CV to XXXX@clayton-legal.co.uk or call me on 0203 714 9446.
