A new position has opened up for an Installation Manager working out of our Southampton depot.You will ensure all installation engineers reach the highest levels of quality installations across the install range. A key function for this role will be to ensure that we fulfil our customer's installation expectations and optimise the productivity of engineers within your control.Benefits:In addition to a highly competitive salary + overtime with benefit package, we offer a range of benefits including 25 days' holiday, generous contributory pension scheme, life assurance, a wide range of product discounts, work uniform, and health benefits.PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONTo take overall responsibility for the engineering aspects of the install department. To be responsible for the quality and delivery of our installations across all builds. To look at efficiencies in the install times and drive down costs whilst keeping QC to a high degree. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * To lead a team of installation engineers to guide and help to train them to improve the overall delivery of each and every build. * Ensure all builds have an installation manual (inc BOM) for each unique programme. * To take the lead when a new build is being discussed looking at how we can * To work with the Install Coordinators in the planning process for the various projects. * To lead by example all H&S related actions both in the Ashton workshop and in the field. * Ensuring a successful working relationship with internal and external stakeholders by phone, email and in person. * To oversee the utilisation of engineering available hours and ensure they are used efficiently and productively. * In conjunction with the overall installation team, lead and pioneer all relevant processes to reduce the hours of the installation times. * Working with the Install Planning Manager and Install Coordinator you will strive to continually review the installation process and finding more innovative ways of reducing the times and costs of each install programme. * Being mindful of ISO9002 standards at all times and health and safety considerations and requirements. To ensure the quality of the build is kept to a high standard and to review any subsequent failures that may arise both in the workshop and in the field. * With the install co-ordinators ensure there is always relevant cover within the department by managing absence (this is to include sickness reviews and approving holidays etc) and provide coaching and training where necessary * Carry out appraisals/one-to-ones with the relevant people within the team. * Ensure there is a regular audit schedule is in place for tools, equipment and vans to protect the company assets. Also ensure that team members follow and comply with this process. * To travel within sites and customer sites as and when the business dictates. Education: * Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C's or above.Experience: * Proven technical experience and good working knowledge of the installation process. * 5+years' experience within a supervisory or managerial role with performance management responsibility. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in, and detailed knowledge of installations ideally within all areas of Installations. * Proven track record of delivering quality. * Has practical understanding of using information technology and systems * Experience of the management of Health and Safety * Experience of conducting annual appraisals * Experience of people management and leadership within a professional business environmentKnowledge and Skills: * Strong Leadership and managerial skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Technically competent with strong coaching skills and abilities * Performance management skills * The ability to build relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels and across the business. * To be able to plan and prioritise own workload and manage that of others. * IT literate (Microsoft office) * Numerate, literate, methodical and systematic. * Ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues across the organization. * Strong negotiation skills for deployment with both customers and suppliersADDITIONAL LOCAL NEEDSFull UK Driving LicenceAbility to travel around the UK when required#LI-On-site#LI-DW1
