Housekeeping Cleaner Job Type Part Time Location Ascot, SL5 8BQ Salary A GBP 12.67 per hour. Weekend overtime rate A GBP 19.01. The Role Housekeeping Assistant has an important role to play with regards to the service of the cleanliness of the school. They seek a practical, capable person to start as soon as possible. The position incorporates assisting with school events and the Summer School programme, including the occasional Saturday work. Key Responsibilities * Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the Schools high standard of* cleanliness and order.* Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the Schools high standard of cleanliness and order.* Duties include making beds and replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, public areas and hallways. Removing wastepaper and other litter from classrooms and offices.* Vacuuming public areas, offices, bedrooms and dormitories.* Emptying of rubbish bins in rooms and dormitories.* Ensuring that the Schools procedures are fully complied with.* Complete other documentation as required by the Schools policies and procedures.* Fill and replenish toilet tissue, soaps etc. to the required standards.* Clean all equipment used such as vacuum cleaners to ensure in good working order.* Carry out daily/weekly cleaning tasks as directed through the cleaning schedules.* Assist in the preparation of the School for special events and carry out any associated cleaning tasks required afterwards* This is an interactive role with other staff members, as well as students, which requires conversational English. Skills and Qualifications * Attention to detail.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.* Punctual and flexible attitude to work.* To work in line with the School Health and Safety Policy.* To be presentable at all times.* Work in a professional way that is acceptable to your work colleagues, other School staff and the pupils* Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
