Leasehold Finance Officer Hackney, London Full Time TemporaryWe have the opportunity for an experienced Leasehold Finance Officer to join a team based in Hackney, on a full time temporary ongoing basis.Leasehold Finance Officer Hackney, London Full Time TemporaryWe have the opportunity for an experienced Leasehold Finance Officer to join a team based in Hackney, on a full time temporary ongoing basis. The Leasehold Finance Officer will be a part of a team responsible for the collection of service charges, major works, production of invoices, and preparing Section 20B notices. Requirements Previous experience within a similar role, within Finance/Service Charges Knowledge and experience of financial aspects of leasehold managementPrevious experience of preparation of service charge calculations, and annual property accountsKnowledge of accountancy principles relating to income and expenditure accountsUnderstanding of Section 20 consultation processesExperience of effectively dealing with queries and complaints from customersKnowledge of IT processes, including Word and Excel Role Expectations Calculate annual and major works service charges to produce estimated, interim and actual invoicesTo collate all financial records pertaining to communal and structural expenditure in relation to property service charges and major worksTo calculate and issue Section 20B notice to protect the financial position of the landlord.To liaise with appropriate Council departments, sections, regulatory bodies, auditors and partners to encourage good practice and effective service charge accountingTo provide appropriate background information and to perform necessary calculations for all service charge and major works enquiries, including Section 125 offer notice informationTo prepare and compile Leasehold Services monthly performance reports, distributing necessary information to appropriate parties throughout London Borough of HackneyTo assist in special projects of the Leasehold Finance Team, as directed by the Leasehold Finance Team LeadersTo attend any Neighbourhood or Estate Committee, or any similar meeting, as and when required If you are interested in this position and meet the above criteria, please send your CV now for consideration.
