The role would be working in a Year 1 Class and is due to commence in September.The School:Situated a short walk from Kilburn Park tube station, this primary school is renowned for its unwavering commitment to nurturing students and creating an inclusive learning environment for students. The school prides itself on its personalised approach to education, empowering students to flourish both academically and holistically.Responsibilities:As an integral part of your SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will play a pivotal role in providing invaluable support. Your key responsibilities will consist of: Nurturing student's social and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and harmonious school community.Working alongside the teaching team to establish and maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEN.Facilitating student's access to the curriculum, adapting / differentiating materials as necessary.Establishing strong partnerships with parents and other colleagues to ensure a co-ordinated approach to support.Monitoring and tracking student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times. Requirements:- Previous experience working with children in any capacity is beneficial, experience working with students with SEN is highly advantageous.- A genuine passion to work in the field of education and supporting students with special educational needs.- The ability to work collaboratively as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a supportive team environment.- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of students.- Demonstrating patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach.- Adding value to both the wider community of the school and forming positive relationships with staff and students alike.
