SEN Casework Officer - NormantonAre you a passionate, dedicated SEN Casework Officer looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an SEN Casework Officer to join a team based in Normanton. Duration: 2 months initially Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week - Hybrid SEN Casework Officer role: Full JD AvailableManage a caseload of Children with Education Health and Care Plans to ensure that all actions relating to statutory requirements are metEnsure that schools and other providers detailed in a child’s Education Health and Care Plan are complying with the expectations and obligations placed upon themProvide information for schools and other services about provision made for individual childrenWrite Education Health and Care Plans and make amendments where needed, making judgements about needs in light of advice from medical and educational professionalsUndertake casework relating to new requests for statutory assessment to ensure that the case is prepared for a decision by SEN panelRefer to SEN Officers and Administration Officers and ensure all processes are completed within statutory timescalesDeal with parental concerns and representations, providing general advice and guidance about SEN related mattersMeet with parents as requiredAttend pupils annual review meetings and establish whether changes are requiredEssential RequirementsMinimum of a BTEC Level 3 in SEN Casework or proven experience in a similar fieldExtensive experience of working in the area of SEN, or substantial experience in a relevant areaExperience of assessment used in schools by teaching staff and other professionalsChild Protection Training and undertake upstaged training as required, including the Common Assessment Framework, or be willing to undertake this training on appointmentTraining related to Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation and update this as required or be willing to undertake this training upon appointmentKnowledge of SEN Legislation and Statutory procedures and current education legislationEnhanced Child DBS registered to the update serviceWe also offer an outstanding referral scheme for any SEN Casework Officer friends or colleagues.If you are an SEN Casework Officer and would like to express your interest, please contact us for this great opportunity by calling on 0208 514 9110 and speak to Sammy Davis Or email on, XXXX@4recruitmentservices.com Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
