We hold several health and safety accreditations and are extremely well positioned to help with any and all utility needs.Reporting to and working closely with the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will draw upon their previous successful experience of working within a wide-ranging finance role, ideally within the SME space, to take ownership of both the day-to-day finance function and the delivery of the more strategically focussed projects in support of the senior finance team.This wide-ranging role will require the successful candidate to nurture close working relationships with the Finance Director and Finance Manager whilst developing key contacts and managing relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Building for the future is critical to us and we are happy to consider supporting professional development for the right candidate.Skills & Experience Previous experience in a broad finance related role within a dynamic, fast moving organisation and able to work in an open environmentCompetent in using Accounting Software packages and Microsoft office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPointProblem solving skillsProactive, hands on, can do attitude and seeks to determine efficiency through determining and delivering improvements of systems and processStrong numerical, verbal, and written skillsStrong analytical skills and an ability to input and interpret complex data using IT systemsAbility to deal with a variety of daily issues and prioritise workAbility to be customer focused and have business awareness to assist non-financial managersSome previous management experience would be ideal, but is not essentialPreparation of management accounts, including variance analysis would also be extremely helpful, but is not a pre-requisite. Key Responsibilities Manage and control all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableManage Finance ClerkAssist with accounting queries VAT, CIS and returnsMaintain customer data in General LedgerCreate and control Fixed Asset RegisterAssist in quarter ends and year end as requiredAssist with any commercial loan and leasing agreements and ensure all financials are recorded accuratelyManage prepayments of Overheads This is an exciting new career development opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for their first role at supervisory level, to join a highly successful team offering all the support you’ll need to succeed.
