Job title: Civil Engineer Salary: Salary: A GBP 35,000 : A GBP 45,000 DoE Location: Exeter Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays Are you an experienced Civil Engineer, looking for an exciting new opportunity ? Would you like to join a national, award:winning property consultancy delivering high profile, and inspiring developments to a range of public and private sector clients. The Role: * We are delighted to be recruiting a Civil Engineer on behalf of our client, to join their team on a full time, permanent.* Duties will include:Carry out allocated projects within determined time frames, to budget and fee cost targets.* Ensure scheme design and supervision costs are kept within scales and targets are laid down in the current Business Plan.* Deliver civil projects in full in accordance with client briefs and professional standards.* Ensure adherence to agreed practice procedures, technical standards and standing orders.* Preparation of Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) briefs and commission necessary FRAs and carry out interpretation of FRAs.* Provide site investigation briefs, assess site conditions and carry out an interpretation of soil reports.* Carry out civil engineering surveys to identify defects, establish documentation cause and provide recommendations in the form of a report with supporting design and details. The capabilities of the current team will allow us to support you at either level with continued professional development, giving you the opportunity to have local mentorship by experienced Engineers and access to industry recognised training. As appropriate, reflecting the experience of the successful candidate, you will be offered training and support to attain industry standard professional qualifications whilst developing and taking on an increasing level of responsibility. The Successful Candidate: * Formal qualification (Degree or HNC/D equivalent) in Civil Engineering* Civil Engineering project experience* Knowledge of industry best practice and professional standards* Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a multi:disciplined team* Working knowledge of relevant design software (AutoCAD/Civil3d, Causeway Flow etc.)* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly* A current CSCS site card or prepared to obtain following appointment In Return: * The business ethos of nurturing and developing employees will mean you are fully supported through your professional development, and this will be met with opportunities within the business to continue testing your skills.* This will be combined with a number of contractual benefits including a competitive salary, benefits package that includes; a minimum of 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), company pension scheme, sickness scheme and local discounts and benefits.
