Job title: Senior Chartered Development Surveyor Salary: Salary: A GBP 38,119.27 : A GBP 56,563.96 DoE Location: Exeter Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays Are you an experienced Senior Chartered Development Surveyor, looking for an exciting new opportunity ? Would you like to join a national, award:winning property consultancy delivering high profile, and inspiring developments to a range of public and private sector clients. The Role: We are delighted to be recruiting a Planning and Development Surveyor on behalf of our client, to join their team on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As a Planning and Development Surveyors, you will play a critical role for their Joint Venture Partners : identifying, promoting, and delivering the development potential of surplus and potentially surplus assets and adding significant value before the assets are sold to generate much needed capital receipts. You will not simply be a project manager commissioning and co:ordinating reports produced by others. You will be very much hands on leading public consultation exercises; drafting planning applications; design and access statements; producing feasibility reports and viability appraisals; representing clients at planning committee meetings and at appeal; negotiating and agreeing S.106 Agreements etc. The Successful Candidate: * Will have extensive previous experience within a similar role and industry, supported by:* We are ideally looking for a more experienced Development Surveyor with at least 5 years PQE* Professional Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and bachelors degree or equivalent in a Real Estates discipline* Experience in planning and development surveying and ideally experience of producing viability appraisals.* Knowledge of all relevant planning legislation as well as familiarity with the Local Plans for the region.* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate with all levels of internal and external parties.* Ability to work independently with minimal support or within a large multi:disciplinary team.
