We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Tenant and Landlord Engagement Officer , on a 3- month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £24.58 - £32.19 per Hour Responsibilities: Providing advice, advocacy, and assistance to tenants on their rights and responsibilities and landlords/letting agents on their rights and obligations. Developing opportunities across the council to engage with tenants and landlords with the aim of improving the management of privately rented homes in the borough. Organising meetings, groups and other platforms with internal and external stakeholders involved in private rented housing to promote good practise in rented accommodation. Including establishing and promoting our Landlords Forum. Leading on consultation & research to identify & assess the views & priorities of stakeholders with the aim of developing strategies for landlord and tenant engagement. Playing a proactive role in the development of policies and procedures that impact on private sector tenants and landlords. Qualifications: Degree or level 6 qualification in a relevant field or extensive practical experience landlord and tenant engagement activities Experience of working in tenancy relations role including investigating harassment and illegal evictions Experience of working in partnership with other teams and organisations Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
