We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newham to assist with the appointment of a Health Visitor, on a 3- month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £29.82 - £ 37.37 per hour Responsibilities: To work within the London borough of Newham Childrens Health service Safeguarding policies; participate in, and develop, early intervention initiatives designed to detect and prevent child maltreatment and neglect, attending relevant meetings and case conferences as required. To provide expert clinical advice to members of the health visiting and multidisciplinary team. To maintain professional accountability for children in need, in accordance with the NMC Professional Code, current legislation and the All London Child Protection Procedures and the London Borough of Newham Childrens Health service Safeguarding Policies and Procedures. To prepare reports for and participate in child protection conferences, Team around the family, Neighbourhood Action Meeting (NAM), court attendances and multi-agency planning meetings as required. To influence programme developments to maximise their contributions to improving health and reducing inequalities in health and health care promotion. To develop, implement and evaluate health plans in response to the identified needs of the individual, family and community in partnership with clients. This includes planning with families who have complex health and social needs in partnership with parents/ carers. Required Experience: Experience of working with Safeguarding issues Experience of working with children with additional / complex needs Experience of identifying the development needs of others and giving effective feedback. Experience of multi-agency working and working across organisational boundaries Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
