Apprentice Recovery Worker Location: Leeds Salary: A GBP 16,546 per annum Job Type: Fixed Term Contract,15 months Our client is one of Englands most successful home:grown charities. The Role Are you looking to start a rewarding career journey where you can gain a qualification whilst helping to improve the quality of peoples lives? The organisation is currently looking to build their Recovery Co:ordination teams, with some exciting and newly created opportunities at Forward Leeds. Their teams provide support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use. As an Apprentice Recovery Coordinator, you can expect the following: * You will be supported to build the skills and knowledge to be able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes.* You will work towards managing a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing recovery and treatment plans.* You will contribute towards reducing substance:related harm to individuals and the wider community.* You will work towards completing the Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. This will include achieving Level 1 in functional skills (Maths and English) if you havent already. Skills and Experience * You will have a passion for making a difference and fair chances for all should be at the core of everything you do.* You will be empathic and understanding in nature.* As the role requires you to engage with study you must be willing to undertake a Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. If you have existing health and social care qualifications at level 2 or higher then this may impact on your eligibility to undertake the role.* A basic understanding of IT would be useful too as you will be using a laptop to help you carry out your job.* Humankind recognises and values the support lived experience can offer individuals, this role encourages applicants who may have personal lived experience of alcohol/substance use and/or experience of accessing recovery services in support of alcohol/substance use/mental health issues.
