Maintenance Engineer

Part of a major FMCG group, this organisation has recently invested in modern automated plant and equipment and due to retirement need to replace one of their Maintenance team. MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN DAYS SHIFT Salary: c GBP 40000 plus excellent benefits Location:Leicestershire ( commutable from Loughborough, Leicester, Ashby de la Zouch, Shepshed, Castle Donington, Coalville, Burton areas) Duties: o Provide breakdown and preventative maintenance on automated production lines o Carry out fault finding activities on large automated machinery incorporating PLC, HMI, material handling, conveyors, packaging machines, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics o TPM/ PPM in high volume automated production facilities o Adhere to strict working practices and safety practices o Continuous improvements process to production equipment and machines o Support future capital equipment investment planning, installation and commissioning Requirements: Applications are sought from Multi skilled Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Electricians with experience gained in high volume automated machinery, ideally from FMCG, food/beverage production, warehouse and distribution or similar fast paced sectors o Time served/ apprentice trained with Electrical or Mechatronics qualification and training : C and G / BTEC / NVQ / 18th Edition o Knowledge of automation machinery incorporating material handling, conveyors, packaging equipment o Experience of 3 phase electrical, PLC/HMI fault finding, motors, pneumatics/ hydraulics o Familiar with planned maintenance and TPM routines The opportunity: Working Monday to Friday day shift with some overtime, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance electrician to be part of an modern facility with continued investment strategy.
