This position will operate on a remote, freelance basis. To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be located in the United Kingdom. GIVEMESPORT.COM . is looking for a European Football Editor to cover Premier League content for the website. GIVEMESPORT is one of the world’s largest independent sports media publishers. It covers news, features, and interviews across a broad range of sports, from football and MMA to the NFL and NBA , catering its content to a global audience of more than 30 million fans each and every month. This person will work between freelance writers and the editorial leads. They will ensure the briefs from the leads are executed as detailed, while developing freelance writers by providing continuous feedback on their work and workshops/one-to-one sessions when necessary. They will assist in the training of new freelance writers, advise on which freelancers should be retained, designated to specific teams or released, and the management of freelancers with regular communication and motivation. Expectations Contributing to the creation pipeline for Premier League content by writing and editing Training new writers Providing feedback to writers Ensuring deadlines are met by you and the team Collaborating with the Leads to ensure stable operation and achievement of targets Optimizing content to maximize sessions on Google Search and Facebook What we're looking for Must reside in the UK (working UK hours) Must be available to work 19 days each month (additional shifts can be worked to generate time off in lieu) In-depth knowledge of all Premier League football and historic English football Excellent writing, editing, and feedback communication skills Experience in a previous editing role within football journalism Exceptional eye for detail to ensure work is of the highest standards Ability to work quickly and edit high volumes of content each day Experience working remotely with freelancers and providing feedback on their work Application Requirements CV, Screening Questions, and Cover Letter In your Cover Letter, please address the following questions: 1) Why do you want to work with GIVEMESPORT? 2) What makes you the right fit for the role?
