Our client based in Merseyside is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full time, permanent position working directly for the client overseeing projects across a mixed sector. The purpose of the role is to oversee a mixed value of projects in areas such as social housing, NHS, schools and local government. Responsibilities: Issuing of sub-contractor tender enquiriesEvaluation of sub-contractor quotationsConvening and attending sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetingsPreparing formal sub-contract AgreementsSite measurement of building works undertakenValuation and payment of sub-contractor interim accountsAgreement of sub-contractor final accountsAssisting in the preparation of monthly CVR reportsPreparing and submission of monthly Profit and Loss reportsPreparing and agreement of external Applications for PaymentAgreement of Client variations Requirements: Previous experience within commercial management running several jobs at the same time of value between 500k to 15 million.Previous experience working in Social Housing, Local Council, NHS & Maintenance EnvironmentUp to date relevant knowledge of building legislation and contract lawUnderstanding of local government and legislation in relation to construction and subcontractorsUp to date relevant knowledge of standard contract formsCommercial knowledge of market rates appropriate to the business sector If interested, our client is looking to move quickly and are therefore offering a salary of between £45,000 - £65,000 per annum based on experience and suitability.
