Batch and Furnace Operative : ShiftsKnottingley Plant Role description In conjunction with supervision the Batch and Furnace Operative has a key role in maintaining the efficient operation of the batch plant and supporting department function. Responsibilities:stylemargin:bottom:5.0px:: Acceptance of raw materials to specification ensuring quality is maintained : Monitor stock and condition of materials used to manufacture the required glass quality: Operation of the Batch Plant ensuring raw materials are weighed and mixed to issued recipe: Autonomous maintenance activities for batch plant, Filter plants and basement operations : Identification and action resolutions to maintain Batch plant operation with support teams: Monitor and inspect material transport systems from storage silo to weigh scale and furnace: Maintain basement and cullet quencher operation and support operation of filter plants. Required skills / qualifications: stylemargin:bottom:5.0px:: Ability to operate various vehicles : Skid Steer and Wheel loader, Cullet Wagon and FLT : (training will be given).: Worked in the Glass Manufacturing Industry (desirable).: Worked in a Batch and Furnace Plant (desirable).: Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills. What we offer : Salary Minimum GBP 38,398 : GBP 44,895 maximum per annum: Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10 matched contributions: Normal shift pattern is determined by the 5:crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12:hour day shifts followed by two 12:hour night shifts and then a six:day rest period, which includes 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12:hour shift rota : Holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota: An environment where we support the development and progression of our employees, tailored to the individual's aspirations and business opportunities: Health and wellbeing initiatives, such as Occupational Health and cycle to work scheme: Family friendly policies and Company Sick Pay, after qualifying period Role Profile available on request.
