As a Kitchen Manager at our home, your role will involve: Being accountable for the successful and effective operation of the kitchen, including food production, menu planning, staff management, supplies, presentation/service and record management Compliance with quality and safety standards Prioritising the culinary experience for our residents, focussing on inclusivity by ensuring all residents can participate in enjoying a varied and high-quality diet prepared in accordance with their individual needs Inspiring and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain a reputation of culinary excellence within the home Sandstone employees enjoy a range of benefits: Free uniform. What are we looking for? Essentially, we are seeking applications from experienced Chefs who understand the importance of the meal-time experience for our residents, and as such, will consistently leave no stone unturned in delivering fantastic, nutritious and varied meals to all those living at our home. Candidates should be communicative, hard-working and suitably qualified individuals, with excellent leadership skills and significant, proven experience of heading up kitchen environments Excellent menu-planning and budgetary management skills are key, as are a good working knowledge of nutrition and dietetics City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery 7100, Levels 1 & 2, or equivalent and a Basic Food/Hygiene Certificate are highly desirable Knowledge of EHO Regulations, IDDSI diets/texture-modified food & dysphagia, HACCAP and COSHH are highly desirable Sandstone Care Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer: We welcome and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
