The role is Midlands-based, with flexibility to travel to key locations across the UK.Key Responsibilities for the Field Sales Manager Manage day-to-day field sales operations, including team leadership and performance managementDevelop and execute an annual sales plan with targets and forecasts across territories and product groupsConduct monthly business reviews to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actionsLead sales efforts in key areas such as Key Accounts, large orders, tenders, and framework agreementsAssign sales targets to territories and ensure alignment with the company's long-term planRecruit, onboard, and train field sales staff to drive team performanceDevelop and implement sales processes for account management and new business developmentIdentify and convert potential Key Accounts to meet sales targetsCollaborate with Sales & Marketing team to achieve business objectivesProvide regular reports on sales activities, results, and future plans Experience, attributes and skills required for the Field Sales Manager Previous experience within a field sales management roleProven track record of driving sales team performance and managing a small teamStrong leadership skills to motivate and inspire othersExperience in the scientific sector or related industries preferredAnalytical mindset with the ability to identify sales opportunities and drive results through your teamA consultative approach with excellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisationTenacity and a strong drive to make a differenceWillingness to travel nationally as needed to meet business requirements What’s in it for you Work alongside a friendly team of talented individuals who enjoy their workReceive a comprehensive induction plan, ensuring a thorough understanding of systems, processes, and productsBenefit from regular catchups with your manager, focused on continuous training and developmentReceive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, accompanied by a bonus equivalent to 25 of the base salaryBe provided with a company car or allowance, as well as all necessary tools to carry out your role effectivelyEnjoy a generous holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum plus Christmas closure and 8 bank holidays
