The business supplies a variety of sectors, having built its reputation as a leading name in the industry they have the ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to meet all sheet metal needs. This Quality inspector role may suit anyone with Fabrication or Welding experience who may be looking for a change. Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector: Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers’ specificationsUnderstand all production processes which relate to the inspections and can use good judgement and discretion in determining acceptable standards.Dimensionally verify compliance of products to drawings and specificationsVisually inspect the final product ensuring all instructions have been completedCarry out other inspection duties when requiredCheck that all “In Process Inspection” processes have been signed off within the correct batch quantitiesRemove all product and/or materials that fail to meet the specificationsThe Quality inspector will complete Certificates of Conformity, if requiredCreate marked up drawings with dimensional checks, when requiredComplete customer’s inspection reports, when requiredManage goods received material test certificatesthe Quality inspector will report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be takenAccountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects of the job and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality PolicyThe Quality inspector will discuss the results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical DirectorResponsible in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System Further detail of the Quality inspector role: 7.30 am – 4 pm Monday to Thursday with a 12.30 pm finish on a Friday.Hourly rate circa £14 per hourOvertime paid at a premium.Career progression and stability due to an ever increasing order book.
