Finance AssistantC&N Recruitment are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer for a 4* grade 2 listed hotel based just outside of Milton Keynes. This is a stunning location to work, the hotel boasts various restaurants, spa, holds conferences and weddings. Stunning location. The role:To effectively handle all aspects of the accounts including sales and purchase ledger, revenue audit and financial controls. Daily reconciliation of all payments received at the Reception, F&B outlets, C&B department, and SPA, including cash and credit card transactions. Posting of all BACS payments received in a timely manner. Daily revenue audit, ensuring that all revenue streams have been posted accurately and to correct analysis codes, variance analysis reporting.Responsible for posting Purchase Ledger Invoices into the accounting system or on Procurement system. Reconciling suppliers statements to the accounting system entries and dealing with variances promptly. Updating the A&P sheet with relevant overhead purchases timely. Processing credit checks on credit application forms and preparing for the approval of financial controller and general manager. Credit control of sales ledger invoices to ensure outstanding debt is collected promptly.Reviewing all sales ledger entries daily, ensuring accuracy of sales invoices sent to clients. Assisting Financial Controller with other areas of business, including preparation of stock data and any other general dutiesYou:Capable to reconcile large volumes of transactions with exceptional attention to detail.Ideal candidate will be from a hotel background. High level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.Strong system skills such as Sage, Procurement system, hotel PMS, strong excel skills including Pivot tables.Responsible and reliable team player.Ability to work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.Ability to respond to financial queries with urgency and professionalism.A professional accounting qualification (or working towards a qualification) preferred.Benefits Free staff meals Discounted food, beverage, accommodation, and spa Training and development opportunities 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Birthday meal allowance.
