(This role will require a small amount of time in the office Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager / Management Accountant with both practice & industry experience to join a leading Healthcare Communications group during a busy time and play an important role in a group restructure's success. Role Description: The Finance Manager / Management Accountant position is a pivotal role within our organisation, integral to both maintaining financial health and steering strategic decision-making. This multifaceted role involves producing accurate and timely financial reports, collaborating across departments to develop budgets, conducting cost analyses, and offering valuable insights into financial performance. As a Finance Manager, responsibilities extend to overseeing month-end close processes, managing cash flow, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce accurate and timely financial reports, providing in-depth analysis and insights into financial performance. Provide detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance. Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and conduct cost analyses. Strategic Financial Management: Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage cash flow and provide recommendations for optimising working capital. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and analyse liquidity positions. Provide recommendations for optimising working capital. Budgeting and Forecasting: Play a key role in developing annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with cross-functional teams Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Financial Systems Enhancement: Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes, leveraging technological advancements to enhance efficiency. Stay informed about industry best practices and implement changes accordingly. Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Address audit queries and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls. Skills & Experience: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience. Proven experience in a management accounting or finance manager role, preferably having a mix of both practice and industry experience. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Contract Type: Permanent Workplace: Remote or Hybrid (our client is flexible on your working arrangements has has offices near the Tate Modern with views over the thames and St Pauls - Bankside) Benefits: Salary between £65000 - £75000 DOE Discretionary bonus: Based on company and personal performance Annual leave: 25 days holiday per year. After three years’ service an additional day each year in the following holiday year, and this will be capped at 30 days. In addition, the company closes between Christmas and New Year (usually three days) and this is in addition to the annual leave.
